General

Is OnlineToolsPlus really free? v

Yes, completely free. All 200 plus tools are available with no signup, no subscription and no hidden fees. We keep the site free by displaying non-intrusive advertisements.

Do I need to create an account? v

No account is needed. Open any tool and start using it immediately. Your preferences such as dark mode and language are saved locally in your browser.

Does OnlineToolsPlus work on mobile? v

Yes. The site is fully responsive and works on any device including desktop, tablet and smartphone. Use the menu on mobile to browse all tool categories.

Which browsers are supported? v

OnlineToolsPlus works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera. For best performance we recommend Chrome or Edge. Internet Explorer is not supported.

Can I use OnlineToolsPlus offline? v

Most tools work offline once the page has loaded because they run entirely in your browser. The tools that require an internet connection are the AI tools, the currency converter and the background remover.

How many tools does OnlineToolsPlus have? v

OnlineToolsPlus currently offers 200 plus tools across 11 categories: Image, PDF, Converters, AI, Text, Developer, Calculators, Color, Generators, SEO, Productivity and Unique Tools. New tools are added regularly.

Is OnlineToolsPlus available in multiple languages? v

Yes. Click the language button in the top right corner to switch between 25 languages including English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, German and more. Your language preference is saved automatically.

Can I suggest a new tool? v

Absolutely. We regularly add new tools based on user requests. Use the Contact page to send us your suggestion and we will consider it for a future update.

Privacy and Security

Are my files uploaded to a server? v

No. All file processing happens 100% inside your browser using JavaScript. Your images, PDFs and documents never leave your device and are never sent to any server.

Is my data stored or shared? v

We do not store, share or sell any of your data. The only things saved locally in your browser are your preferences such as theme and language. These never leave your device.

Are AI tool inputs sent anywhere? v

AI tools send your text to the Groq API for processing. Text is sent only to Groq and is subject to their privacy policy. We never see or store your inputs.

Do you use cookies? v

We use minimal functional cookies to remember your preferences such as dark mode and language. Google AdSense may also set advertising cookies to display relevant ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Is the Background Remover tool private? v

The Background Remover uses the remove.bg API, which requires your image to be sent to their servers for processing. This is the only image tool that contacts an external server. All other image tools are 100% local.

Does the site show advertisements? v

Yes. OnlineToolsPlus displays ads served by Google AdSense to support the free service. These ads are non-intrusive and do not interfere with tool functionality. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings.

AI Tools

Do AI tools require an API key? v

No. The AI tools on OnlineToolsPlus work without any API key. They use the Groq API in the background at no cost to you.

Which AI tools are available? v

OnlineToolsPlus includes AI tools for text summarization, grammar checking, translation into 50 plus languages, paraphrasing, resume building, cover letter generation, email subject line scoring, cold email scoring and more.

The AI tool returned an error. What do I do? v

Try again after a few seconds. Occasional timeouts happen and usually resolve on retry. Make sure your text is not too long. Inputs under 3000 words produce the most reliable results.

How accurate are the AI tools? v

The AI tools use the Llama 3.3 model through Groq, which produces high quality results for most tasks. For professional or legal documents, always review the output carefully before use.

PDF Tools

What PDF tools are available? v

OnlineToolsPlus includes 15 plus PDF tools: Merge, Split, Compress, Protect, Unlock, Edit, Organize pages, Add page numbers, Rotate pages, Add watermarks, Create blank PDF and Compare PDFs.

Is there a file size limit for PDFs? v

Since everything runs in your browser, the limit depends on your device memory. Most tools handle PDFs up to 100MB comfortably. Very large files may be slow on older devices.

Can I remove a password from a PDF I do not own? v

No. The PDF Unlock tool requires you to enter the existing password. It is designed for documents you own and have legitimate access to. It cannot bypass unknown passwords.

Why does my PDF look different after editing? v

The PDF Editor works by rendering each page as an image and applying your annotations on top. The output is a high quality image-based PDF. For text-based PDFs, the original text layer is preserved where possible.

Image Tools

What image formats are supported? v

OnlineToolsPlus supports JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP for most image tools. The converter supports all these formats as both input and output.

Does image compression reduce quality? v

The default quality setting reduces file size significantly with minimal visible quality loss. You can adjust the quality slider to your preference. For lossless compression with no quality loss at all, use PNG format.

Can I extract text from any image? v

Yes. The OCR tool works on printed text, typed documents, screenshots and handwritten text with varying accuracy. For best results, use a clear high resolution image with good contrast between text and background.

Is there a limit on image file size? v

There is no strict limit. Images up to 20MB work well on most devices. Very large images may be slow to process on older hardware. If you experience issues, try reducing the image size before processing.
